I would have liked to have done painting, melting crayons, or clay. I would have liked to have tried painting because that is one thing that I'm really good at and enjoy! I would've likes to do melting crayons because I've never done it before and I think that it would be fun to try. I would have like to do clay because like painting its something I enjoy.

KONY 2012
- Summarize the documentary KONY 2012 in one paragraph. What is it about? (one paragraph)
The KONY 2012 video is about Joseph Kony, and what he does. Joseph Kony Has been kidnapping children using the girls as sex slaves, and the boys to make and army. He makes the army so he can say that he has power (and he doesn’t want to loose that). But he uses the boy armies to kill people, and right before he kidnaps them makes them kill their own parents. He’s been in these actions for 25 years, and still no one has decided to take action. This is what the video is about. This guy is raising awareness to people, and if enough people care and try to support it our country will help the kids in Uganda to live strong, healthy, and free lives.
2. Why did the filmmaker choose to make this film? What does he hope to achieve? What is his specific goal and what is his strategy for making it happen? (1-2 paragraphs)
His goal is for the kids in Uganda to be free and be able to sleep happily at night, and for them to just be kids. His plan is to have the Ugandan military find him, in order to find him they need the technology and training to track him in the vast jungle, that where the american advisors come in, but in order for them to be there, but the US government has to deploy them, they've done that, but if the government doesn't believe that people really care about arresting Kony, the mission will be canceled, in order for the people to care they have to know, and they will only know if Kony's name is everywhere.
3. What is your personal opinion on the strategy he is using to raise awareness? Is it effective? At some point, people get tired of seeing "the same old posts" about an issue. Some of you have already asked the question "what's the point of this video?" What is the point? Even if you're personally tired of seeing links and posts about it, do you think there is value in saturating the media like the film proposes? What would you do different? (1-2 paragraphs)
I think that this idea is fantastic, I don't think that I could've come up with anything better, and yes it is effective, and if people do start to get annoyed they'll just have to do something about it. The point of the video is to tell people about Joseph Kony and have arrested, and like the plan said, everyone has to know about it and care. And for them to know they have to see the signs, posts, etc. Yes I do think that there is value is saturating the media, I don't know what I would do different I just love the idea of setting up signs, posters, stickers, etc, everywhere for the world to see. I don'y necessarily think that I would do anything differently.
4. What do you think about about the idea of making a "bad person a celebrity?" Are there any negatives to this approach? (one paragraph)
I like the idea of making Joseph Kont famous, I think that he's becoming famous for being a criminal, because most people don't know about Joseph. I don't that this is a bad idea at all, I think that he needs to become know in the US so that Jason plan can go through. People who have a heart I know will care about this cause and when people do find out about it then the people who do care will try and take action and say they care and we can proceed with the plan to get Joseph Kony arrested.
5. What is the difference between raising awareness and between a call to action?
I think that raising awareness means that someone is telling you about something to make you aware of it. It just like ok now what. But a call to action to me means that you care about the thing that the person made you aware of the cause, and if it hit your heart then you will take the call to action. You will take the call to take action on helping the cause and try to help and save the invisible children.
6. What is an issue you feel strongly about - strongly enough that you would want to not only raise awareness, but call people to action? Be specific - in other words, don't just choose a topic like 'eliminate world hunger.' It doesn't have to be a global issue, but it should be a specific, definable one where you are proposing a specific solution. What is a specific way to focus on that topic? Ask yourself the following questions:
What is the issue?
Where is it?
Who are the people affected?
Why should people care about this issue?
What can people like you do to solve the problem; to help? What specifically can people do?
How could you use the media to call attention to the issue? How can you get people's attention?
- Issue: is kids having aids pandemic
- Where is it: Swaziland Africa
- Who are the people affected: Kids, adults, elders, basically everyone in is Swaziland. People die at a young age, the age at begin considered old is at 32, and it rare to live that long. And it comes mostly often comes from sexual contact and blood transfusions or open wounds. Its not rare to get Aids in Swaziland.
- What can people like you do to solve the problem; to help? What specifically people do: Be abstinent, Spread info and resources to the poor and unformed, give money, food, clothes, and knowledge.
- How could you use the media to call attention to the issue? How can you get people's attention?: I could post things on Facebook, Friend and let others know about the Heart for Africa page, email people, send pictures. Talk to them, call them, explain to them what is happening, Show them pictures, maybe even take them to Africa.

Sermon
So my topics were Losses and Heart. And I’m going to start with Losses.
So I see God in Losses like when you have lost a love one you can be confused, angry, sad, feeling alone, and just almost like god was trying to hurt you. For me when I loose someone I’m angry and sad and such but He helps me understand and work through it and help me just feel better. Sometimes people just think with god about it. But Grieving and crying does help. To me it brings healing.
Heart. In Hearts I see god working in it and wanting you to open your heart up to let jesus into your heart and life. Also like when you heart is hurting if you have let him in then he can just mend it and put the pieces back together. I also see god working in heart relationships, like with my parents if one of their hearts are hurting I might see them just hugging on the couch or talking. And god is working in them in many ways, just like everyone else.

Losses:
So for this I want to capture images that show how people are grieving, and oddly this is one of my favorite things to capture. I hope to capture images that have people crying and I want to get some close ups of tears, and come Long shots of people just sitting alone. I think that god Shows up in losses in your tears, in a healing way. In your tears god heals you, like one of our pastors says grieve until your done. And I think healing come out of that. But I think topic is a good one for me because I think that I could possibly to a pretty great job on capturing these moments. Not to be cocky or anything. I really just want to get pictures of people being sad because they actually lost something they loved. I might take a picture of a picture. Like the pictures people put up when they want to remember their loss. And I don’t want to make some one cry for one of the images I want to capture real sadness, or anger about their loss. I want it to be real. I also hope to Some images in the day time and light, and also so dim or late at night.
Heart:
For this topic I think that god shows up in your heart in a caring way. As in if you caring for someone god is in your heart. And you also you have to open that little door to your heart because Jesus is knocking.
Losses
- When you loose someone you love. Jesus is there to comfort you.
- This picture is of my dad and Jacqui i took it for this because my daddy kind of looks like Jesus in the picture and Jacqui is mourning and being sad and he is comforting her.
- Picture of picture. I took this photograph because people usually put up pictures to remember their loss, to see them. And It’s just loss your going to be sad and the flowers are there to resemble the care that someone had for these people.
- Even though you can ask why their gone he’ll help you work through it.
- Candle and Jacqui. I took this one because because are going to be sad and mad that their loved one is gone, and this is just to say that “Just Grieve, and when you done work through it with Jesus.”
- I think that god Shows up in losses in your tears, in a healing way. In your tears god heals you.
- This picture is of Grace crying, I took it because one people cry when they have losses, and also because Healing comes through tears is loss, and basically everything else.
- This last one of Ben I LOVE! he’s out in our little woodsy backyard and this picture is trying to say that when your mad because someone left a house, or left the earth you can have the same amount of anger and sadness, and just thinking about it is hard.
Heart
- I think that god shows up in your heart in a caring way.
- As in if you caring for someone god is in your heart.
- This picture of dad and jacqui is trying to represent that if your down, angry, sad, or whatever you can have people around you to support you and have Jesus work through both of you.
- And you also you have to open that little door to your heart because Jesus is knocking.
- Ben thinking, I took this picture because it’s the innocence of Ben that’s great, he’s showing thinking about Jesus and if he’s real and all the mixed emotions people have at this age about Jesus.
- If your heart is hurting people Jesus can be there in it trying to work through it, helping you, and just basically again to understand. And if my heart was hurting I would want Jesus there to comfort me to.
- Heart Balloon. This picture to me makes me think of hearts and that’s what its trying to say it you have a healthy, caring, loving heart, to me it can mean that Jesus is in there to because no one is perfect and usually can not do that alone.
- This picture is kind of another heart hurting picture, This little animal is alone and his heart is hurting, and if you are alone and such then you can kind of ask for Jesus and of course he’ll come he wants you! And he can help you in numerous way and just be Jesus.

I think that I did have really fake skin on my person and it did look pretty bad if you look at at from this perspective. It made the eyes look perfect and I should’ve thought about the rule to never over edit the picture only little details like blemishes. But over all I agree with the whole Article completely It was so right about everything. And in the little notes on the side made it explained even more and it helped me understand. I think that this article was also a little funny and that helped me to read it! hehe!

BeforeWhat I learned!
Once again I learned even more how to use pixel mator in editing ways! I mean as in I learned how to use the lasso tool and how to effect what you select, as in taking it away and even selecting more at once. I also learned how to make a mask to make part of the image have a different image on it that was underneath it. (and I learned that a mask existed!) I also learned how to use the stamp tool and how to copy part of the image and put it somewhere else. The last thing that I learned was how to sharpen only part of the image with the sharpen tool. That’s what I used on making the eyes. This is what I learned in the pixel mator tutorial.

This image was to show that this family is spunky, funky, fun, and just plain weird. We all are those things in this house. This picture was also supposed to be really see the beauty of someone, their eyes, their personality, etc. Also to have the closest part of the depth of field to be bright and behind be dark and black.
My vision for the image was to have some sadness in it because right now there are some sad things. Also in my life to and things aren’t the best that they could be. So the whole purpose was to bring that out for me and Grace that someday things will be better. That is why in the image she’s looking away.
The purpose for this image was to say that in this house we are adventurous and fun. I thought Ben would be good because he is most like that. This was also meant to be dramatic and I hope it is. This image is to show depth to our Boldness and feeling.

1 Paragraph about what I learned editing my pictures!
So I learned how to Sharpen and use exposure on pictures and I found out that I really like those features. They bring out the depth in the photograph. I think that I am now more experienced with pixel mator, because before now I didn’t really know how to really use it. Now when I take pictures maybe on the RoadTrip or whenever I know that I can now what I’m doing and make the picture better and see what I want the picture to be about. I would possibly like to do something like this assignment again.
